The Infinite Mind Special: "A New 'Normal'?"
Bring the discussion home to your community!

Living with the threat of terrorist attacks, we wonder: is fear, anxiety and disorientation our new way of life?

We talk about “getting back to normal,” but perhaps this is it. As FDR said, “The only thing we have to fear … is fear itself.”

“A New Normal?,” a special presentation of Lichtenstein Creative Media and The Infinite Mind, will explore what we all can do to cope with our inner uncertainty, and, perhaps, strike a blow against terrorism in the process.

The program will also look at how the nation’s mental health system is coping with this crisis.

The Infinite Mind will assist listeners and public radio stations in developing follow-up programming focusing on the issues raised in this program. This may include call-ins, news coverage, or public service announcements. We will also help develop town hall meetings or discussions at your house of worship or community group. For more information on how to localize the broadcast of The Infinite Mind's special report, A New "Normal?", call The Infinite Mind's station outreach coordinator, Laura Newmark, at 212-765-6600 or e-mail her at Laura@LCMedia.com. You can find suggested questions for follow-up discussions, by clicking here, or a customizable press release by clicking here.

The Infinite Mind is produced in association with WNYC/New York and the New York Foundation for the Arts.
