The Infinite Mind’s 16-acre virtual broadcasting facility, is equipped with listening and screening rooms; a broadcast studio with a glassed-in viewing gallery; a lecture facility and theater equipped to accommodate audio, video and PowerPoint presentations; an archive library of our broadcasts; an amphitheater that holds up to 100 people and integrates a one-of-a-kind interactive kinetic sculpture.

LCMedia worked with Dell, Inc. to create Dell Island, which features an innovative "build it yourself" factory that allows customers to order real life Dell computers. The facility comes complete with working conference rooms, focus group facilities and a computer museum. Dell now joins the ranks of many other businesses who are establishing a virtual presence in Second Life.

"Our Walls Bear Witness: Darfur – Who Will Survive Today?" live event in Second Life featured Mia Farrow, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and actress, who had just returned from a trip to Darfur and who was able to provide first person accounts of the devastating situation in the area. The event reproduced the real world Darfur event that took place at the U.S. Holocaust Museum in November 2006, and featured images of the crises projected onto the exterior walls of the museum. |
