LICENSE AND COPYRIGHT GUIDELINES FOR “WEST 47th STREET” DOCUMENTARY FILM
Thank you for purchasing the educational digital streaming rights for West 47th Street. The film is copyrighted, and therefore the use of it is subject to copyright restrictions. These guidelines outline how the film may be used in your educational institution both for classroom showing and for internet streaming.
Educational use of the film, whether in classrooms or online, is permitted in perpetuity by the educational institution. Use is limited to the film being shown as part of an instructional or educational program with viewing limited to faculty, students and guests. Public viewings of film, in which a film is shown in a setting open to the public and which anyone can attend, require additional "public performance" rights from Lichtenstein Creative Media.
Digitizing/Streaming Video in Distance Education
The film may be transmitted digitally online or “steamed” in distance education and other online courses by your institution in perpetuity, pursuant to the following restrictions:
• Access to the film must be limited to instructor(s); students who are enrolled in the course; and any invited guests of the course. This can be done through password or other normal online content restrictions. The intention is to prevent the film from being posted online, where it would be available without restriction to the general public.
• Instructors should, if possible, let students know that the film is copyrighted and as such it should not be copied or disseminated.
• Instructors should "turn off" student access to the film at the end of the relevant lesson/lecture/program or at the end of the semester.
It is understood that each situation is different, and our intention is to allow the film to be seen widely for educational purposes, so please feel free to contact Lichtenstein Creative Media at LCM@LCMedia.com with any questions you may have or if there are any desired uses not listed here.
Thank you again.
